About PhysioEdge

Martyn Sigley is the owner and principal physio at PhysioEdge. He graduated in 1994 from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and returned in 2007 to complete his Post Graduate Diploma (Musculoskeletal). Martyn also has post graduate qualifications in acupuncture.

After graduation, Martyn spent time in the Hawkes Bay working in the public hospital as well as in private practice before leaving for the UK. In England Martyn worked extensively within a professional sporting environment as the lead physio for Kent County Cricket Club for 8 seasons. During that exciting time Martyn combined his love of cricket with physio and on-going education to complete his England Cricket Board Level III coaching qualification. Martyn had his own First Class cricket career with Central Districts spanning 1994-2003.

Martyn has also worked in private physio practices in London and, on return from the UK in 2006, as a senior physiotherapist at a large physio practice in Auckland.

Martyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to PhysioEdge drawing on his 25 years in physio practice and his vast experience treating and managing sports injuries.

Although having specialist knowledge in cricketing injuries and technique, Martyn treats and rehabilitates all manner of sporting and musculoskeletal conditions.

Over the last seven seasons Martyn has been the Lead Physio for the local Eden Rugby Club.

He loves living and being involved in the local community with his wife and two school age children.
